LATEST NEWS & EVENTS

February 11-16, 2014

Dear colleagues and students, we are meeting you with the second newsletter of our project. You will find details and opinions about the videoconferences and observes of the Spain Meeting of students and teachers from each country.

Our students made the videoconference meeting with Latvian students.  An event like this happened in our school for the first time. The excitement of our students could be seen in their eyes easily. And I am sure this is true for the other partner schools.

As a philosopher said: “Works can not be achieved made without excitement.”

And Spain..I can tell you a lot about visit to Spain: Immaculately and regularly

school, smiling managers and teachers, and a program organized with precision.

Everything was great: National Parks, fantastic city Almagro and Toledo which

smells history…We have smelt the history there. We wandered through the dusty

leaves almost like a history book.

And of course new friends .. The memories will never be forgotten. We returned

home after spending five days in Spain but I think our hearts left there…

The video conference took place on 28/02/2014 between students from  Cyprus and Poland.

The theme of this videoconference was School Life and students were given the opportunity to share their views and exchange information regarding their daily routine at school. The length of this video conference was approximately forty minutes and students were answering questions received from their fellow students at the other end.

17 January 2014

The video conference took place on 17/01/2014 with a total of 77 students from three countries. (12 students from Cyprus, 19 from Portugal and 46 from Ireland).

After overcoming some technical difficulties, Ireland coordinated the videoconferense with a great success. Students from all three countries were given the opportunity to ask questions and benefit from using this technology.

November 4-10, 2013

Welcome to the first newsletter of our Comenius Project.
“Natural Wonders of Europe, a study of our National Parks and Nature Reserves”

Our group consists of 11 schools from Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland,
Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
In this age where global warming and its effects is being discussed by world leaders on a
regular basis as a serious threat to the planet it is very suitable for our schools to study our
National Parks and Nature Reserves together.
These areas contribute to our way of life; our health, our leisure, our well being and are treasures on our doorsteps. They give us insight into our countries as they were in the past.
The Philosophy of The National Parks and Nature reserves is one of “Let Nature be Nature” We are honoured to be able to study them in a European context.
Our project will be developed between September 2013 and July 2015.
